Heartburn Remedies

Now that Sophia is cramming my internal organs, I am experiencing the lovely side effects of heartburn. I wanted to share with you what I use and just things that will help.


  • eat small, frequent meals
  • eat fruit seperately from other foods
  • take 1 TBS raw-unfiltered apple cider vinegar in water before each meal (very important that it is RAW and filtered). Buy at most grocery stores.

  • Take papaya tablets before or during each meal. These are my fav! They have saved me many times.

  • Eat raw almonds when heartburn symptoms appear
  • avoid tums and other antacids
  • avoid deep fried/greasy foods
  • avoid tomatoes
  • don't eat right before bedtime.....try to eat at least 1-2 hours before you lie down.
  • Don't drink and eat at the same time....try to space them out (drink 30 minutes before you eat and 30 after you finish a meal
