Hello Kitty

I found these adorable legging' on babylegs.com and I think I'm obsessed! I will be ordering many more in the future, especially when it starts getting colder. These are the infant size, which can later be used on her arms. They are wonderful, because it makes diaper changing a breeze.

Sunny Days

We have had a few sunny days--and YES, I mean a few. My mimi got to wear her sun hat for the first time and wasn't too fond of the sun shining in her eyes, but I was able to capture a few pictures. You can tell she doesn't really know what to think of the brightness.

Look at that face!

2 months down......

....and things are getting easier and more predictable every day!

The first month was very hard because I would worry, not know why she was crying and just the newness of this beautiful being. I have to admit that I was pretty anxious at first--not wanting to leave the house much in fear she would cry, etc. My mom was and is my lifesaver as far as helping me out! She watches Sophia just to let me get things done. It's such a blessing!

Sophia is such a ball of energy! She moves like crazy.....SERIOUSLY! I have never seen a baby that squirms so much! She is also so strong. She has only been waking up once a night the past 5 nights! Let's hope this stays this way! I finally feel like myself again since I am sleeping so well!

Big eyes--they are still blue

She is so strong!!

love her

I'm 2 months Old!

Words cannot describe the deep love I have for Sophia. We have so much fun together every day! Here is her 2 month old photo shoot :)

A few more tidbits:
  • She loves her play mat--she will play by herself for about 30 minutes, which gives time for me to get things done. She doesn't really like her swing anymore.
  • I now see that I forgot to tell in my birthstory that I didn't tear! Nope, not one stitch! With a sideways head and arm :)
  • We decided not to suppement Sophia with Vitamin D
  • She is getting very vocal with her coos, goos and giggles--it melts our hearts!
  • She tries to watch TV when its on, so I have to make sure her head is turned the opposite direction.
  • She already has so much of a personality. And she is extremely sqirmy.

Her schedule lately consists of falling asleep between 930-1030pm--waking up to nurse between 230-330am--waking up around 7am, napping usually 8-10am...then the rest of the day consists of naps/feedings until night time. I am so thankful that we have somewhat of a schedule now :)

Sophia is 1 month old!

Serious face.

Smoosh

Our new life is getting into the swing of things. It's already been a month, and already I can't imagine my life without my little smoosh. (yeas, we call het Smoosh, because she is so darn smooshy)....is that a word? Actually she is 4 weeks today and she will be 1 month old the 7th. But she was born 4 saturdays earlier. So it's kinda annoying with that but I just keep it with the saturdays. :) I won't be able to blog for the next few weeks. Since we are going on a little family trip and I don't think there will be any internet conection. It's going to be so much fun.

No one said Parenting would be easy....

Ain't that the truth!!!

The first 3 weeks have been so amazing with the arrival of our baby girl, but definitely an adjustment. From sore nipples/breasts to sleepless nights and days, recovering from the birth, not knowing why she is crying, getting my first cold in months from being so exhausted, missing quality time with Zach and not being in a routine yet, being a parent is CHALLENGING. its just going to take time to adjust......hey, I'm just being honest.

On the lighter side, every morning I wake up and look over at my precious baby. I still cannot believe this adorable miracle that we have......I think I'm still in shock :) I love her so so much and can't get enough of her. I constantly find myself starring at her for hours, wanting her to wake from sleeping so I can play with her and wondering what one day she is going to look like and act like. She is my little angel.

Fun Facts about Sophia:
  • Sophia loves to take showers. She is our water baby.
  • She LOVES and I mean LOVES the Ergo carrier ( I think she just likes to be held en not be put down )
  • She likes being on her tummy versus her back
  • The hiccups don't really bother her.
  • She sounds like a teridactal dinosaur when she crys.
  • She LOVES to dance, expecially when someong is holding her dancing with her to music.
  • She is very alert.
  • She seriously rolled over yesterday (must have been an accident) but she did it! Everyone who holds her tells me how strong she is and I guess they are right. :)
  • She glares all the time, it's funny.....hopefully this one wears off
  • She has a tight grab and can hold on to her pacifier
  • She would rather sleep on my chest than in her bassinet
  • She can hold her head up really well and loves tummy time.
She sleeps like this.....and she hates to be swaddled ( a women that knows what she wants)
