I'm 31 weeks and 6 days, but lets just say I'm 32 weeks! :)
I skipped showing Sophia's development in week 31, because I had a busy week and blogging was put on the back burner :) So now we are 32 weeks, YAH!!!! It's crazy to believe that we get to meet out little Sophia within weeks, I seriously can't wait!
I'm definitely feeling more pregnant than ever. It's getting harder and harder to move around, sleep and sit. I easily get uncomfortable too. I can only imagine the weeks to come....but it's all worth it, because the prize is in mind. :)
Sophia has found my rib cage and continues to make me uncomfortable by shoving her bum and feet into it. My midwife, Carolee said she is pretty much settled in my pelvic bone and most likely won't be moving, especially as she continues to grow. I've gained another 2 pounds and my belly is 1/2 an inch bigger. Carolee also said it looks like she will be a 7 or 8 pound baby.
I'm also a fashion disaster, because all I want to wear are comfy clothes, which consists of anything that fits at this point.....who cares if it matches! haha...ok, maybe I care a little. Being pregnant is ejoyable and amazing, yet frustrating at times. Personally, I'm over being pregnant and just excited to meet Sophia. Lately, I'm losing my train of thought a lot and saying things that don't make sense. I wonder if that goed away as soon as I give birth? Or does it last throughout nursing?
My favorite part of being pregnant right now is CONSTANTLY feeling Sophia in my belly. I actually can SEE het move all the time too (in fact she is moving like crazy right now).....sometimes my belly jerks from side to side. She must be doing kung fu or something in there, because my body seriously convulses. It also feels like big bubbles are popping in my belly. I love her so so much! Hace I said that before :)
''By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound in a week and roughly half of that goed right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.''

Midwife Appt.....
Quick update:
I'm still lovin' my midwife appointments :) I don't have nearly as many questions as I had in the beginning, so they are a little quicker. I met with Constance and we talked about mt seperated stomach muscles a little more. Pretty much all I can do is walk, swim and stretch, because most exercises I use my core. :( Oh well....its only a season. Luckily, I got a good 4.2 mile walk in yesterday with Jen.
The other good news, Sophia is finally HEAD DOWN! She is still moving like crazy and doing somersaults, but at least she knows to flip her head down south :) I've gained another 2 pounds and my belly from pubic bone to rib cage is measuring 30.5 which is perfect! Beause I'm getting closer to my due date, Constance told me that if I EVER have any intuition or even a minor concern about something not feeling right to page her....even if its at 2am in the morning. They care so much about me and Sophia!

How I'm doing...
How far along? 30 weeks and a few days...
Total weight gain: up almost 27 punds....HOLY GRACIOUS FATHER!!!! I need to remind myself this is a good thing. :) (My midwife always asks me how I'm coping with my 'ever changing' new pregnancy body) I always answer ''fine'' with a smirk on my face.
Maternity clothes? Tops are mostly pre-prego but 100% maternity on bottoms except for yoga pants & such thanks to the butt and thighs
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: This has been a sore subject the past few weeks. With the potty breaks and full on having to wake up to switch sides because my hips are killing me, crazy dreams, waking up well before the sun rises and no longer able to sleep on my back, things are rough to say the least. At least I have my body pillow now.
Movement: I love the feeling! She is definitely doing somersaults or kung fu....sometimes my whole body jolts :)
Food cravings: I eat everything in sight (except for dead food)
Symptoms: Hormones have calmed down a bit....boobs aren't as perky as they were 2 months ago, and my acne had mellowed....not sweating as much either. I am a little more tired though and try to nap when I can.
Labor Signs: Hopefully not for a while! Keep baking little one :)
Belly Button in or out? In still...Zach says when its out...the baby is coming soon. It's just about there....its cool, because I've never seen the inside of my belly button before.
What I am looking forward to: The showers coming up and seeing all the people I love!

Sophia
Sophia,
I can't wait to meet you my precious baby girl...I LOVE YOU more than words can express!!! Your daddy and I can't wait to hold you, play with you, experience life with you and just LOVE you! I promise to always be there for you, listen to you and guide you as best as I can. I'm so excited to find out what traits you have from both Daddy and I. I wonder if you will be outgoing and spontaneous like me or if uou will be funny and more grounded like your Dad...no matter what, you are the LOVE of our lives and we are counting down the days to hold you in our arms.
*I pray that God will always come first in your life!! Knowing our creator and why things happen is by far, the most amazing relationship you will ever have.
*I pray that you will love people and not judge and that you will be able to see past people's flaws and why they are the way they are.
*I prat that you will be positive in this crazy world we live in and not take things for granted. Soph, you have hit the lottery by being born in the country.....so many children will never even get the privilege to learn how to read or just BE kids.
*I pray that you will be strong and always stand up for what you believe in! (if you are like mommy and daddy, this gene got passed down :))
*I pray that you will enjoy reading and learning. Don't worry, I will remind your Dad that reading 1000 pages a month may not come for awhile (he tries to push this on me too, ha ha).....but you will soon find out where he got his genius mind from! You have an AMAZING father!
(I also pray that you would please love healthy foods, not whine a lot, sleep through the night, LOVE to play and watch sports just like Mommy and Daddy and want to help with cleaning the dishes...we can negotiate these terms later of course:))

Week 30
''Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, thoughh it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision -- which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20)''
30 Weeks!!! Let the countdown begin.....
I'm eating everything in sight....enough said.
(Purchase of the week) My body pillow! It really helps me sleep.
This is so funny to me...its almost a perfect circle.
I'll post my belly pics that I missed on the page 'Our baby'. So, go check that out!
My friend Amanda's baby shower: She is having a girl, due at the end of May! |
So I'm blogging again, there where some problems in my family, so that's why I haven't blogged in a while.
